Lori Loughlin’s Daughter Olivia Jade Deletes Combative Instagram Post In The Midst of Admissions Scandal

The Admissions Scandal Trial Continues

The college admissions scandal, a.k.a. Operation Varsity Blues, has been a major part of the news cycle for months now, with dozens of wealthy parents being caught trying to bribe their children into elite colleges and universities.

The two highest profile offenders are actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman. Huffman paid $15,000 to an admissions consultant to get a proctor to change her daughter’s SAT answers to get a better score. Huffman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud and was sentenced to 14 days in jail, 250 hours of community service, and a fine of $30,000.

Facing Consequences

Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli are facing accusations of paying $500,000 to the scam’s originator Rick Singer in order to falsify pictures of their two daughters rowing — neither girl plays the sport — in order to get them admitted into USC on rowing scholarships. The girls’ admissions status are currently under review.

Loughlin and Giannulli rejected the initial plea deal, with lead to further charges of money laundering and conspiracy, making it possible that they could face 40 years behind bars if they are convicted.

The Controversial Instagram Post

In response to the coverage of the scandal, Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade posted a photo on Instagram of her flipping the bird with both hands with the caption:

“@dailymail @starmagazine @people @perezhilton @everyothermediaoutlet #close #source #says”

When this was posted in August, her lawyers allegedly begged her to take the post down. However, it remained up on her account for weeks.

The post was very recently deleted, and while no reason was given, it likely has to do with the fact that Felicity Huffman has been given her sentencing. This defiant look certainly wouldn’t help her mother’s case.
